How to Attend

If it's your first time attending, we put together some pointers to guide you through it

1. Visit showrooms & exhibitions

There are close to 80 participating brands and designers to see across over 45 locations in Cape Town’s Inner City and surrounding areas, most of them showcasing new designs, collaborations, or special installations. Locations include existing showrooms, pop-up spaces, and the central Festival Hub, all of them free to visit and open to the public throughout the four days of the festival (no tickets required).

2. Attend events & activations

Parallel to the programme of showrooms and exhibitions is a daily schedule of talks, tours, launches and openings. Some of these are open, but most require pre-registration. Registered Design Professionals get early access, with the full programme published on Wednesday 11 February on the festival website.

3. Browse exhibitors & events online

The home for the programme is capetownfurnitureweek.co.za – where you can browse exhibitors and events, filter options based on categories, districts or dates, and click through to more information about the participating brands and designers.

4. Explore each district

Locations are based within a number of design districts, most of them walkable. You can explore each district in your own time throughout the festival, or join the daily Design Professionals Programme that moves between each district on selected days. Districts include the Central City, De Waterkant, East City, Lower Gardens, and Kloof Street, with the addition of spaces in Observatory, Salt River, Woodstock and Paarden Eiland.

5. Start at the Festival Hub

The Festival Hub serves as a central point of convergence within the wider city-based programme, hosting exhibitions of new products and displays by over 40 exhibitors, including a number of special installations, and the CTFW x VISI Design Prize exhibition. If you’re wondering where to start, this is the place. The Festival Hub for 2026 is the old Africa Bank Building at 81 St George’s Mall (corner of Shortmarket Street).

6. Enjoy the Inner City

Along with the inspiring design programme, one of the best things about Cape Town Furniture Week is the experience of walking through Cape Town’s historic Inner City. It lends itself to chance encounters, discovery, and finding renewed appreciation for things we take for granted. And if you need a rest or refreshment, there are plenty of cafés and restaurants to choose from.

7. Vote for Best in Show

Every year we invite attendees to vote for their favourite exhibitor at Cape Town Furniture Week, the winner receiving the Best in Show award. Show your appreciation by voting for the brand or designer that stands out for you, whether based on products exhibited, creative installations, or what they’re contributing to design in general.
