About
Design Afrika works with rural groups in remote areas of Africa, designing and developing products that excite the global market. For CTFW 2026, we are showcasing a niche collection of contemporary woven furniture, juxtaposed with paintings from the Kuru Art Project in Botswana. A highlight will be the 2026 People of the Sun Collection of Woven Masks, presented alongside brightly coloured side tables from Rwanda and beaded wall hangings from Tanzania. The Take It Imizi Chair, designed by Binky Newman and woven by Lindiwe Mathangana of Dunoon, Western Cape. The metal frame was made by Feeling Africa.
