Willowlamp is a Cape Town–based lighting studio creating bespoke installations at the intersection of sculpture, architecture, and light. Founded by architect and designer Adam Hoets, the studio draws inspiration from nature, sacred geometry, and symbolic form, transforming light into illuminated sculpture. Central to Willowlamp’s work is Hoets’ patented notch system—a proprietary design innovation that allows strands of metal ball chain to flow through laser-cut stainless steel frames in layered, veil-like compositions. This signature technique enables complex ideas to be translated into precision-built, handcrafted light sculptures, ranging from intimate pendants to large-scale, award-winning installations. Each piece is handmade in the Cape Town studio and delivered worldwide, with projects developed in close collaboration with architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, and collectors for luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, and cultural spaces.
