Wolkberg Casting Studios

Wolkberg Casting Studios is an industrial design and manufacturing studio that develops sustainable, locally made architectural materials and design-led objects. We work at the intersection of material experimentation, design thinking, and hybrid production, combining handcraft with machine precision to create tactile surfac​e finishes and elements for ​the building environment. At the core of our work is Limesite™, our proprietary material developed in-house through ongoing research and testing. By reimagining one of the world’s oldest building materials for contemporary use, Limesite™ offers a distinct visual language, durable performance, and versatility across formats, ranging from surfaces and tiles to furniture and bespoke architectural elements. For Cape Town Furniture Week, we present Oh'Pleats, a sculptural surface study exploring the expressive potential of material in motion. The collection translates the language of textile manipulation into architectural form.
